We built the thing we wanted for our own families.

Rucja Health is a team of doctors, nurses and engineers. We watch our patients' readings around the clock, so the weeks after hospital, or the years with a long-term condition, are never spent unwatched.

Hospital care ends at the front door. We didn't think it should.

We watched our own parents come home from hospital with a bag of medicines, a follow-up date six weeks away and nobody watching in between. A fever on day nine, a blood pressure that crept up, a heartbeat that went irregular for an afternoon. Nobody saw any of it until something went wrong.

The technology to fix this already existed. Home devices are accurate and cheap, and phones can send a reading anywhere in seconds. What was missing was a person on the other end, looking at the numbers and picking up the phone.

So we built both halves. Devices and an app that make taking a reading easy, and a monitoring center staffed by doctors and nurses who see every reading as it arrives, day and night.

Our monitoring center. Each tile on the wall is one patient.

A few things we won't compromise on.

Quiet by default

You hear from us when a reading needs attention, and never for a normal number.

Doctors and engineers, in the same room.

Most health apps are built by engineers and handed to doctors. We sit together, so the people who read the alerts are the same people deciding what the app shows.

  1. 1

Clinicians on shift, not on call

Our doctors and nurses work in shifts at the monitoring center. When a reading comes in at 3am, someone is already awake to see it.

  2. 2

    Every alert has an owner

Alerts are sorted by urgency and each one is assigned to a named person. Nothing sits in a shared inbox waiting for someone to notice.

  3. 3

Families are part of the plan

You choose who else can see your readings and who we call if something changes. A daughter in Dubai can see her father's readings in Pune.

  4. 4

We change the app when patients struggle

If a reading keeps getting missed or a screen confuses people, our engineers hear about it from the clinicians that same week.
